Summary:
Answer, resolve or redirect, all incoming patient, insurance, and attorney calls. Process all patient and insurance correspondence and mail returns. Check insurance eligibility, load insurance., and queue for billing. Process self pay bills. Any duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent. Excellent customer service skills. Must be a team player. Must have basic computer knowledge; Microsoft word or excel applications desirable. Previous telephone customer service experience a plus. Meditech and Cerner systems experience preferred. Must be able to multi-task & perform effectively & efficiently in a fast-paced & high-volume environment. An understanding of medical insurance, billing and benefits preferred. Minimum of 1-year previous hospital or medical office medical insurance experience. Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.Work Shift Details:
