      About the role:

      The Americas Payroll and Projects Professional is a team member of BT in the America’s Human Resources team that processes payroll across several Latin America countries, Canada, and the US (approximately 3,000 employees total in 10 LATAM countries, the US & Canada). The Payroll and Projects Professional will process benefit deductions, tax and internal and other external reporting for BT’s staff and employees in each of the various legal entities within the US, Canada, LATAM and for BT’s employees on international assignment in the Americas. The Payroll and Project Professional will also be responsible for creating reports, monitoring and report payroll process improvements and metrics, and working on other special payroll projects as assigned.

      You'll have the following responsibilities:

      • Accountable for processing assigned payrolls correctly and on time.
      • Maintain and update employee records that are audit compliant and meet internal controls and guidance.
      • Ensures correct calculations and processing of tax, social security, retirement and other payroll-related payments.
      • Manages and provides customer service to BT’s employees for payroll or related queries.
      • Develops and maintains process documentation that meets or exceeds internal and external requirements.
      • Manages timely and accurate submissions to finance for payroll submissions and monthly reports.
      • Create standardized reporting that align with key audit controls.
      • Design and report payroll metrics for publication.
      • Work closely with the Americas Payroll Manager on payroll projects.

      You'll have the following skills & experience:

      • Working knowledge of ADP platforms and the various file upload formats and outputs. ADP WorkForce Now preferred.
      • Working knowledge of payroll laws, taxes and regulations.
      • Effective communicator – written and verbal.
      • Exceptionally strong analytical skills
      • Certified Payroll Professional a plus, but not mandatory.
      • 3+ years of experience processing full-cycle payroll for a US company. Global experience, a plus.
      • Experience working with ADP WorkForce Now and ADP Streamline experience are a plus.
      • Experience processing payroll for employees in US. Multiple countries a plus.
      • 2+ years direct experience handling and addressing employee queries and cases.
      • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and other Excel functions.
      • Strong team player who can work with a diverse Global team.
      • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-priority & complex environment.
      • No language requirement but Spanish is preferred, and communicational Spanish training will be provided if not versed in the language.
