Performing a variety of payroll, time and benefits administrative and analytical activities in support of the EMEA countries/affiliates (eg. international assignments data management - payroll related, payroll reconciliation / verification, consolidation of payroll inputs, payroll data maintenance, ad hoc reports, absence management, flexible benefits administration, allowances administration, operational support for health insurance and life insurance plans, annual bonus calculations, bonuses payout process support, loans, retirement process, leasing, pension plan administration, Roche products payroll support, tuition reimbursement, benefits operational process support, documentation for knowledge base build-up related to payroll time & benefits administration, etc.)
Serving as a Tier 2 point of contact for all payroll, time & benefits customer inquiries
Interpreting People & Culture policies and practices for EMEA payroll administration
Ensuring Roche local time & absence policies are met
Providing timely responses to customer payroll inquiries by using an internal case management system
Proactively identifying and troubleshooting payroll issues to determine root cause and solutions for resolution
Analyzing multiple payroll audits during processing to ensure accuracy and validity
Corresponding with managers and leaders to confirm accuracy of employee time & absence entry
Managing, processing and reconciling mass upload files for all pay frequencies
Supporting inquires resolution, escalating requests to the appropriate resources as necessary
Monitoring data flows to/from Workday to Vendor for accuracy
Ensuring integrations are processed timely and resolving any errors ensuring accurately processed
Analyzing and controlling payroll processes, accruals and employer obligations for EMEA countries
Executing ICFR controls defined in the accounting scope
Actively participating in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
Updating SWIs and SOP documentation
Participating and leading project initiatives as required.
5+ years of experience in Payroll services with end to end process experience in a shared service center supporting cross countries is required
High learning agility on different payroll country practice and able to provide remote support in payroll, time, benefits administration operations with timely manner
Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
Advanced Excel skills (pivot table, v-lookup, etc.)
Proven track record of being able to deliver in a matrix organization
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment and to handle multiple competing priorities with flexibility
Strong customer centricity, end-to-end accountability, problem-solving skills, growth & agile mindset in ambiguous situations
Strong English and French communication skills both written and spoken are essential.

The Payroll, Time & Benefits team focuses on payroll, benefits and absence management support and provides customer service and advisory support to employees, People & Culture and business partners ensuring end-to-end process completion in line with customer focused principles to ensure the Roche People Practices work for the business. As a Payroll Time Benefits Senior Specialist EMEA - French speaking, you are responsible for payroll, time, benefits data maintenance and administrative activities in a timely and accurate manner. You are also contributing to the continuous improvement of the People Support Solutions delivery. This is coupled with strong customer focus, communication skills and solution orientation.
