What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct utilization management reviews, including prior authorizations and coverage exceptions
- Collaborate with a team of pharmacy professionals to ensure quality and productivity goals are met
- Make independent clinical decisions based on review findings
- Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Utilize technology effectively, including basic IT troubleshooting and proficiency in Word and Excel
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy environment
- Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy
- Ability to work independently and drive results without constant supervision
- Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting to changing situations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with utilization management processes
- Familiarity with multiple computer systems and technology tools
- Strong typing skills with a minimum of 35 WPM
- Prior experience in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality results consistently
