- To assist and support the Outpatient Physiotherapy Team in the smooth running of their clinical and administrative duties
- To work with the Physiotherapist in the gymnasium setting up work with both groups and individual patients within guidelines and competencies
- Accessing patient electronic records for checking referrals/background relevant medical information/appointments
- Ordering stock items that are required within the department
- Ordering equipment via the Medequp processes
- Cleaning duties for departmental equipment
- Assisting any patients/visitors attending the department
- Entering data electronically for audit purposes and patient feedback information
- Other clerical duties as required
- To assist B7 MSK specialist physiotherapist with systems.
- Knowledge of care and related procedures, clinical observations, relevant legislation.
- Understanding of a range of work procedures and practices, some of which are non-routine and are acquired through formal training or equivalent experience.
- To have some knowledge of office procedures, clerical/reception work
- Effective organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels
- Experience of using and navigating electronic patient records e.g. S1
- Knowledge of Trust IT systems e.g. S1 as appropriate to work area
- Relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
- Advanced keyboard skills e.g. RSA/OCR, ICDL, OR demonstrable experience within A&C field at standard level
- Be able to demonstrate good listening and problem-solving skills
- Able to demonstrate effective inter-personal communication skills, electronic, written and oral
- Good planning and organisational skills and prioritise effectively and use own initiative
- Ability to demonstrate ethical values and attitudes within a culture of equality and diversity
- Willingness to adapt to change and work flexibly

Job summary
We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to play a key role in supporting our busy MSK Physiotherapy Service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a team environment, and wants to be part of a service that helps patients regain independence and confidence.
In this varied and rewarding role, you'll work closely with our Physiotherapists in both clinical and administrative areas. You'll support group and individual rehabilitation sessions in our gym, help patients feel welcome and supported, and ensure our service runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Your responsibilities will include accessing and updating electronic patient records, ordering essential stock and equipment, maintaining clean and safe clinical spaces, and gathering valuable patient feedback. You'll also work directly with our Band 7 MSK Specialist Physiotherapist to support key systems and processes that keep our service running at its best.
