      SUMMARY
      Performs journeyman level plumbing skills in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in an educational setting under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
      LOCATION
      Levelland Campus
      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
      Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
      Performs plumbing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair to facilities and systems. Including, but not limited to, water systems, sanitary systems, and natural gas systems.
      Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to deal with customers, shop personnel and other trades personnel within the department.
      Working knowledge of operation and safe use of all power and hand tools/equipment to complete daily tasks. Some of the equipment include: drills, power saw, oxygen/acetylene torch, hand shovels, sewer snake, and soldering and brazing equipment.

      EDUCATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
      High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
      Minimum 2 years plumbing experience.
      LANGUAGE SKILLS
      Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
      MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
      Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs.
      REASONING ABILITY
      Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Proficiency in interpretation of freehand sketches, schematics, blueprints, as-built drawings, diagrams and technical publications related to the position.
      CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
      Valid Texas motors vehicle operator's license and insurability.
      Plumbing license- preferred Journeyman or greater.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
