      CMVM / MRC Human Genetics Unit

      Full-time: 35 hours per week

      Fixed term: until 31st March 2028

      The Opportunity:

      We are excited to present a new opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join a shared programme between the laboratories of Martin Taylor and Liz Patton (MRC Human Genetics Unit, IGC) to develop animal and advanced cell models to follow mutations and clones over time in melanoma development and progression. This post is ideal for a highly motivated, team orientated Postdoctoral Fellow, who can lead their own programme of work and deliver high quality science.

      This post is fixed term until the 31st March 2028. This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and is experimental laboratory based.

      Your skills and attributes for success:

      • Highly motivated to deliver high quality science
      • Ability to take a leading role in the programme of work
      • Ability to work with a team, and to collaborate with local and international colleagues
      • Experimental molecular biology and cell biology laboratory skills
      • Experience with models (e.g. zebrafish) and/or advanced imaging and/or genomics are desirable
