      The Pricing team has responsibility for developing consistent pricing practices within the AXIS Insurance segment and is primarily responsible for pricing, product monitoring, profitability studies, new business development, business planning, and price monitoring. The Pricing team interacts extensively with other functions including underwriting, finance, reserving, risk management, reinsurance, operations, and claims. The Senior Actuarial Analyst will provide actuarial support to the North American Casualty Lines Practice.

      KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Support the quarterly product monitoring analysis on existing business to identify issues and opportunities and assist in the development of action plans
      • Analyze new business opportunities and expansion of current businesses
      • Develop, analyze and communicate monthly rate monitoring for ongoing business
      • Design and build metrics and dashboards to provide insight to management
      • Work with the reserving team to establish/update key reserving assumptions
      • Provide assistance in the development and maintenance of rating plans
      • Assist with the analysis, design, implementation and support of benchmark pricing tools for the business
      • Assist with the analysis and communication of quarterly results and detailed accident and calendar year analysis and commentary for management and external communications

      QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Business, Risk Management or a similar field which demonstrates an affinity and talent for quantitative analysis
      • A minimum of eight years of actuarial pricing experience working in the property/casualty insurance industry
      • ACAS or FCAS
      • Advanced knowledge of analytical tools such as SQL and VBA. Knowledge of R and Python is a plus
      • Excellent PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft product suite, particularly Excel
      • Knowledge of a property & casualty insurance company’s operations and an understanding of the general function of each insurance departmental area such as Finance, Underwriting, and Claims
      • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
      • Ability to prepare and present materials to all levels of management

      RELATIONSHIPS:
      • This position’s working relationships require the individual to proactively and professionally interact with a wide range of individuals within the company, primarily Underwriting but also including Finance, Risk, Reinsurance, Operations and Claims. This person should be a team player and be able to work with a diverse group of personalities.

      Salary Range:

      For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $150K to $195K. The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including the experience of the successful candidate and their work location. NY $150-195,000 , Chicago 140-$176,500, Alpharetta 130-$160,500.
