What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and edit contributions from external expert authors to ensure clinical relevance and actionable recommendations
- Monitor medical literature for updates and identify topics needing revisions
- Collaborate closely with authors, section editors, and peer reviewers to ensure accuracy and objectivity
- Systematically review existing topics for clarity and completeness
- Maintain clinical involvement for 10 to 20% of work time to ensure content is practical for clinicians
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Medical Degree
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Ability to work 80 to 90% of the work week on editorial tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, writing, and listening
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Clinical experience in an academic setting post-residency
- Interest in critical analysis of medical literature
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at various skill levels
- Self-motivated with effective feedback skills
- Interest in maintaining clinical work alongside editorial duties
