      You will work as part of a small team focused on the modeling, simulation, and analysis of underwater intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems. You will support the effort to assess current and future system capabilities, identify improved applications and techniques, and ultimately recommend solutions. Efforts addressed by the department include: describing algorithm and system performance as a function of sensor data quality (including signal and noise phenomenology), characterizing system performance in order to clarify capabilities, identifying and addressing areas for improvement in sensor data processing, and the investigation of multi-sensor approaches for data fusion and system of systems collaboration and exploitation.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 7 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 4 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
      • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.

      Required Qualifications:

      • 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 7 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 4 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
      • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
      • Must possess an active Secret clearance and have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
      • Strong physics and mathematics background.
      • Familiarity with modeling and analysis techniques.
      • Proactive self-starter with strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
      • Sonar or radar signal processing, detection and estimation theory, adaptive signal processing, ocean-acoustic wave propagation, numerical methods, experimental data analysis, communication systems.
      • Experience using analytical software tools such as MATLAB for modeling, simulation, and analysis of physical systems.
      • Experience with acoustical/SONAR signal processing, algorithm development, propagation modeling, and acoustic communications.
      • Experience working with SONAR systems and conducting field experiments.
      • Experience leading cross-domain technical teams.
      • Experience managing R&D projects.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience building, testing, and transitioning operational hardware
      • Experience with at-sea testing of underwater devices
      • Operational Navy experience is a plus.
