      Your role:

      As the Process Auditor at Global Relay, you will champion all internal audit functions, ensuring compliance with certifications such as ISO 27001, and evaluate processes for ongoing improvement and optimization. Reporting into the Product Director, Financial Systems and collaborating closely with the Information Security team, you will lead the charge in building new processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to support the Finance and Accounting department in our fast-growing organization.

      Your job:

      ISO 27001 Internal Audit Function (30% FTE):

      • Design and execute the internal audit plan for ISO 27001 compliance
      • Compile test controls, document results, and prepare summary reports for senior management
      • Maintain a schedule of audit activity, liaise with stakeholders, and participate in IT controls and business process audits
      • Identify risks, control weaknesses, and provide improvement recommendations
      • Stay informed on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks
      • Benchmark processes and controls, collaborating with stakeholders to communicate findings to senior management
      • Maintain timely communication with relevant stakeholders
      • Maintain the current ISO Lead Auditor Certification at all times

      Process Evaluation, Policy Development, and Implementation (70%):

      • Audit current procedures and processes to identify opportunities for process improvements through ad-hoc and annual reviews
      • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to create new processes to address emerging risks and control weaknesses
      • Assist in the maintenance of business capability maps for Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, and Business Development teams
      • Identify operational changes between current and future processes to drive change management
      • Collaborate with internal departments to improve communication and data flow
      • Prioritize and plan process improvement initiatives, providing timely status reports to stakeholders
      • Present results and findings to stakeholders, ensuring engagement for a collaborative solution

      About you:

      • 3-5 years of experience in performing ISO audits or a similar auditor role
      • 3 years of experience in business process improvement in accounting and finance
      • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification is highly desired
      • Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional preferred
      • Chartered Professional Accountant designation is an asset, although not required
      • Proven experience in identifying and implementing process improvements using technology
      • Experience in a process optimization capacity in prior roles
      • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills allowing for effective work with a variety of different departments
      • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
      • Experience in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription environment is a definite asset
      • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM system and cloud-based accounting applications
      • Problem-solving skills and ability to apply cognitive thinking
      • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a solution-based mindset
      • Strong work ethic and integrity with the ability to exercise tact and discretion and to be entrusted with confidential information

      Compensation:
      Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in accordance with the pay transparency laws of the province of British Columbia. In addition to the annual base salary (range listed below), compensation for this role also includes a corporate bonus, extended health benefits, and RRSP Matching, and (for applicable Sales roles) an enticing commission structure.

      British Columbia - Base Salary Range:
      $80,000 $105,000 CAD
