- Monitoring and reviewing agency guideline updates, announcements, bulletins, and policy changes from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, and other applicable entities.
- Analyzing and summarizing agency changes to determine operational, product, guideline, overlay, and process impacts to Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group.
- Clearly articulating previous guideline requirements, updated guideline requirements, potential operational and business impacts and recommended considerations or action items.
- Preparing analysis for Operations Risk Meetings, Credit Committee, and other leadership discussions.
- Assisting leadership with evaluating impacts to underwriting guidelines, overlays, workflows, and operational procedures.
- Supporting implementation planning for agency and investor changes across departments.
- Supporting investor onboarding and implementation initiatives.
- Attending investor onboarding meetings, training sessions, and product implementation calls.
- Coordinating and preparing documentation and information required for investor setup and product launches.
- Assisting with implementation timelines, deliverables, and communication across impacted business units.
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure operational readiness for new products and investor relationships.
- Communicating effectively with employees at all organizational levels and across multiple business functions.
- Supporting collaboration and alignment between strategic initiatives and operational execution.
- Developing and maintaining policies, procedures, job aids, reference guides, and other such internal resources related to products and investor requirements.
- Translating complex agency and investor information into clear, user-friendly documentation for operations, sales, underwriting, and corporate teams.
- Ensuring all impacted departments receive timely and accurate information necessary for implementation.
- Supporting training and communication efforts related to new products, investor changes, and agency updates.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of mortgage industry experience with strong knowledge of agency lending guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA) required
- Experience with investor onboarding or investor relations preferred
- Experience preparing policy, procedure, or operational documentation preferred
- Product management or mortgage product development experience preferred
- Experience in either Credit Policy, Underwriting, Product Development, or Operations preferred
- Experience analyzing mortgage guideline changes and operational impacts
- Strong understanding of mortgage operations, underwriting, and product implementation processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to simplify and articulate complex mortgage concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

The Mortgage Guideline Analyst supports the Vice President of Products & Investor Partnerships departments by serving as a subject matter expert in agency and investor guideline management, product implementation, and operational impact analysis. This role is responsible for monitoring and analyzing agency updates (including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA), communicating impacts to internal stakeholders, and assisting with investor onboarding and product implementation initiatives.
The ideal candidate possesses strong mortgage product knowledge, the ability to interpret and translate complex guideline changes into operational impacts, and excellent communication skills to effectively support cross-functional teams across sales, operations, underwriting, risk, and corporate leadership.
