- Category Strategy & Planning
- Co-author the category business plan, aligning short- and long-term objectives with corporate strategy.
- Define category positioning, pricing, and competitive differentiation strategies.
- Create annual category roadmaps that identify key growth opportunities and profitability drivers.
- Secure alignment and buy-in from cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business results.
- Product Lifecycle & Portfolio Management
- Continuously evaluate in-market performance to identify opportunities for enhancement, rationalization, or discontinuation.
- Partner with operations and finance to optimize inventory productivity, SKU efficiency, and gross margin performance.
- Lead cost control initiatives and manage category-level P&L levers to achieve EBITDA targets.
- New Product Development
- Develop business cases for new product opportunities based on consumer insights, market gaps, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing to ensure feasibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness in new product introductions.
- Drive cross-functional project management from concept to commercialization, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality metrics are met.
- Support go-to-market execution through sales tools, pricing models, and training materials.
- Market & Consumer Insights
- Leverage market research, trend analysis, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
- Identify emerging consumer needs and translate them into actionable product opportunities.
- Provide category-level insights and recommendations to leadership on market performance and evolving trends.
- Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with marketing and sales to create compelling launch strategies, product messaging, and promotional plans.
- Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and finance to align forecasts, manage costs, and ensure delivery excellence.
- Work closely with international category and product management teams to get alignment on portfolio strategy, launch timing, and best practices.
- Communicate category performance, opportunities, and challenges to senior leadership.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and strategic partners to maximize innovation and supply chain efficiencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; High school diploma required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in product management, category management, or merchandising, ideally within consumer goods, automotive, or related industries.
- Proven experience managing multi-channel and multi-tiered distribution models (eCommerce, retail, wholesale).
- Strong background in product lifecycle management, including product development, pricing strategy, and launch execution.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects from ideation to launch.
- Financial acumen and experience managing P&L or EBITDA-driven category metrics.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business plans.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to influence and collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in product management tools, PLM/ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passion for automotive products, consumer experience, and innovation in the aftermarket accessories space.
- Occasional travel will be required - international and domestic.

The Product Category Manager will serve as the single point of contact for our OE and International Sales partners. This person will connect product category plans with these distinct sales channels ensuring alignment on product strategy, prioritization, and commercialization plans, while proactively identifying opportunities to expand our reach and strengthen global and OE partnerships.
The Product Category Manager will define category positioning and segmentation, analyze market trends and competitive dynamics, and build compelling business cases for new products and enhancements. Partnering closely with teams in engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, and sales as well as RealTruck's international business units, this role ensures sustained category performance. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for consumer insight, a strong grasp of product economics, and the ability to connect data-driven analysis with real-world market execution.
