Job Description

- Work closely with the TMS Central Design team and the Global Harmonisation Lead
- Taking the brief from the client.
- Work with the team to devise a plan with objectives, deliverables, responsibilities and timescales to ensure projects are met.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to produce design concepts through
to approved POS displays - Understand technical drawings and be able to create 3D models
from them - Produce high-quality renders and animated GIFs to wow the client
- Present and explain design concepts directly to clients.
- Incorporate changes recommended by clients / global services team into final designs.
- Review designs for errors before handing them over to suppliers.
- Assist in generating concepts and visualising them by sketching, rendering and / or mock-ups.
- Experience using 3D Studio Max and Solidworks
- Adobe creative Suite ( Photoshop)
- Enthusiastic and passionate about all things design
- Experience client / supplier facing, presenting work
- Any animation skills or experience is beneficial.

Product Designer
TMS Global is a procurement outsourcing business and are a wholly owned subsidiary of DS Smith PLC, a FTSE100 listed multi-national packaging and display manufacturing business. TMS Global specialise in the outsourcing of retail display, print and packaging and are active in 97 markets globally and our TMS family consists of just over 300 people who are spread internationally across APAC, LATAM, EMEA and NA.
We are growing globally to support FMCG brands to deliver print managed services in the POS and Display sector. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Product Designer to join our design team here in our Manchester City Centre headquarters on a permanent basis. (Remote UK / hybrid working to be discussed on application)
About the role
The Product Designer will be involved in providing 3D knowledge and skills to help with the creation of global in-store display solutions. You will be required to interact across the board with clients, retail specialists and graphic designers. There is a need to understand the retail environment & multiple sub-channel requirements and the designing of various in-store display solutions. The role will focus on a global FMCG account working within the confectionery industry. This position encompass structural design, adaptations and reconfigurations of existing structures, and the technicalities when it comes to materials used or needed.
