      Job Title: Material Handler
      Location: Belpre, Ohio
      Payrate: $19.50 per hour
      Shift: 12-hour rotating

      Material Handlers - General Requirements

      The product handler is required to operate a battery powered fork truck. They must maintain safety training by attending monthly safety meetings. Wear proper PPE to include all leather safety toe boots, hearing protection, safety glasses, hard hats and FRC’s.
      Physical Requirements
      Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Repetitive Motions and able to lift 50 pounds repetitively. Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift.
      Primary Responsibilities
      The contract Packagers Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
      • Using a fork truck to load a stack of pallets into the dispenser
      • Using a fork truck to load stack of boxes onto the raising platform
      • Building and labeling boxes
      • Place box on pallet squarely.
      • Hand Spouting baggers
      • Hand loading 50-pound bags into boxes while maintaining alignment of box within perimeter strips on pallet.
      • Cutback and recycling of product (labor intensive usually performed by lead)
      • Assist with keeping the area clean and helping with type change cleanout.
      • Empty dumpsters
      • Banding Cardboard
      Requirements:
      • High School Diploma or GED required
      • Valid Driver's License
      • Prior experience in manufacturing or farming preferred
      • Candidates must be safety-conscious with a general understanding of OSHA guidelines
      • Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed work instructions
      • Physical requirements include standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds repeatedly
      • Must work in an industrial environment and follow all safety protocols
      • Ability to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards
      • Willingness to work overtime as needed
      • Candidates must pass a drug screening and background check prior to starting
