- Leads the planning for a fully digital-first marketing lifecycle, inclusive of strategy, member research, planning, direct response marketing, agency management, creative development, compliant execution, analytics and optimization, and performance management.
- Leads the development and implementation of marketing plans and campaigns to build and deepen USAA’s relationship with existing members, and drive acquisition of new members.
- Provides input into the management of the marketing budget allocations across products and channels to deliver sustainable growth at efficient Cost per Account (CPAs) at scale.
- Leads the development of the digital acquisition experience, lead adoption of new ways of working, and leverage storytelling to drive understanding & adoption of change.
- Models behaviors that support and embrace safe & sound business practices at scale.
- Knowledge of product related regulations, and risk and compliance requirements.
- Leverages external knowledge regarding the digital space, and networks with external partners to inspire out-of-box thinking.
- Keep USAA brand and mission to serve the military community at the forefront of new marketing practice.
- Provides coaching and training to team members.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
- Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- 8 years of relevant work experience in financial services with hands-on experience in conversion channels (i.e.: Paid Search, Affiliates, Direct Mail).
- Extensive experience in collaborating with key partners and stakeholders, influencing decisions, and managing work to achieve strategic goals.
- Strong business acumen in the areas of business operations, industry practices and emerging trends.
- Ability to seek and analyze data from variety of resources to support marketing decisions and alignment with key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Product Marketing, including providing input into growth objectives, developing marketing plans, performance reporting, and driving incremental growth consumer definition, situation assessment, financial analysis, and marketing strategy.
- Understanding of specific laws and rules that govern fin serv products (TILA, Reg Z, UDAAP, etc.).
- Demonstrated proficiency with marketing data analytics, including the ability to analyze and evaluate information.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to adjust communication style based on the audiences.
- Ability to exercise appropriate judgment by using information and knowledge to make timely, effective decisions.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to adjust scope or resources as appropriate, mitigating potential risk to projects.
- 8+ years of large bank experience with consumer banking and specifically credit card products.
- Knowledge of federal laws, rules, and regulations to include: FFIEC- Retail Payment Systems Handbook, Payment Rules (NACHA, Zelle, etc.), Reg CC, Reg E, Reg DD.
- Demonstrated experience building and executing upon marketing strategy.
- Experience in people leadership to include coaching, managing, and building a high performing team.
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.

We are seeking a dedicated Product Marketing Lead – Credit Cards to work hybrid from one of the following locations: San Antonio TX, Plano TX or Charlotte NC. Hybrid roles help employees gain the best of both worlds – collaborating in-person in the office and working from home when needed to achieve focused results.
The USAA Bank Marketing team is a growth engine for the bank, with a laser focus on our mission. We passionately market our products (credit cards, deposits, consumer loans, and mortgages) to both our members and prospects and are experts in direct response marketing channels, where we believe in making data driven investment decisions. We understand that the customer decision journey varies for each product and develop product-specific go-to-market plans, marketing strategies, and creatives. Our campaigns reflect our brand personality, our mission to serve those who serve, and our knowledge of bank products.
The Product Marketing Lead will have expert knowledge of the Credit Cards space and be responsible for acquiring new accounts, shaping and implementing product-specific marketing strategies, focusing on performance metrics, and delivering measurable results. This individual will accelerate growth through continuous test-and-learn agendas, improvement of paid marketing efforts, and expert allocation of marketing investments. The team will ideate, plan, launch, measure, and optimize marketing campaigns to drive sustainable growth at efficient Cost per Account (CPAs). This Product Marketer will be accountable for a marketing budget and will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Brand, Product, Risk, and Analytics to drive growth via both new-to-USAA members as well as cross-selling to existing members.
Business acumen, strong analytics, and industry expertise will be critical to success in this role.

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $132,500 - $253,220.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
