Job Description

- Work to develop and implement meaningful programming for undergraduate students for QuadEx events, including those affiliated with Faculty Fellows, Faculty in Residence and Sophomore Spark
- Serve as liaison between Intellectual Community and quad councils alongside Spark Fellows
- Book lodging and travel for invited speakers and create and submit travel reimbursements and honorariums
- Develop and implement faculty involvement database
- In conjunction with the AVP for IC, the AVP for the Career Center, the IE Director and the Spark Fellows
- Work with students teams to keep Duke Conversations running smoothly
- Work with Trinity IT to keep FLUNCH running smoothly
- work closely with the Undergraduate Research Support office in Trinity College and equivalent offices across the University as the AVP and IE Director work to extend research opportunities to all undergraduate students; and
- work closely with the MUSER team to maintain the database and open and close recruitment cycles
- Maintain liaison with other programs, offices and departments at Duke to coordinate program business and to accomplish program objectives
- Coordinate publicity such as Chronicle announcements and other promotional materials
- Coordinate and implement special projects as assigned and perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

- Bachelor’s degree preferred . ; one year of experience in program administration or involving academic, instructional or counseling activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events.
- Applicants must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of Duke and experience in working with the Duke financial system is highly desired.
- Demonstration of strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and accuracy; expertise using Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with web-based application and academic software; willingness to learn additional software applications; event planning; creative and analytical thinking; dedicated to providing exceptional customer service for students, faculty, staff, and parents; awareness and empathy for diversity and bias issues; ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to customer’s individual preferences and needs.

Program Coordinator, Student-Faculty Engagement Office
Level 10: 12 month position
The Student-Faculty Engagement Office curates and maintains programs that foster relationships between faculty and students. We believe student-faculty interactions outside the classroom are crucial to the Duke Undergraduate Experience and that they should be accessible to all students. Occupational Summary
This is an opportunity for a talented professional to join a team doing innovative work in undergraduate education. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing original programming and establishing important collaborations that help all Duke undergraduates strengthen their connections to faculty and take full advantage of Duke’s curricular and co-curricular opportunities. The position reports to the Student-Faculty Engagement director.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.
Experience
Work requires one year of experience in program administration or OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE involving academic, instructional or counseling activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events.
