      Job Description

      Fugro are looking for a talented Project Manager to join our European USV and Remote working service line. The role will be based from Bergen, Norway. Initially the successful candidate will support the business and commercial teams building a sales pipeline in Norway. Then on award of projects you will be responsible for the delivery of projects from uncrewed vessels both in and outside of Norway. You will provide effective and efficient execution ensuring all QHSE, technical, commercial, and contractual requirements are met. Fugro offer a wealth of growth and development opportunities both locally and within the region.

      Fugro’s uncrewed surface vessels are equipped with an all-electric ROV for subsea inspection scopes and hull mounted geophysical sensors for site characterisation scopes.

      This job is for you if:

      • You enjoy liaising with clients and can build business sales through strategic planning and building close client relationships
      • You have experience and thrive off managing complex projects, able to think on your feet and enjoy working in a hands-on, practical environment
      • You aspire to be involved in remote and autonomous operations using the latest equipment within the marine asset integrity and site characterisation industries
      • You have excellent communication skills and an exceptional eye for detail

      Who you’ll be working with:

      You will be working as a pivotal part of a small, dedicated team responsible for the delivery of projects from Fugro’s rapidly expanding uncrewed surface vessel fleet within Europe and Africa. You will lead technical teams and maintain excellent relationships with our clients.


      Here’s what a typical day would be like:

      • Communicating with clients regarding future and on-going projects
      • Calculating the project financials and predicting future revenues and costs
      • Author project documentation including project execution plans
      • Manage contractual commitments to ensure compliance
      • Conducting quality control on project reports and data

      Who we’re looking for:

      We are looking for proven candidates who are versatile, reliable and efficient at managing complex projects. We require first class communicators that adopt a proactive and systematic approach with a competitive attitude, along with:

      • MSc or BSc level in an industry associated discipline such as Geoscience, Engineering, Business Management or Project Management
      • Project Management experience either on or offshore
      • Confidence to engage with individuals at all levels
      • Marine experience is highly preferable
      • ROV, Geophysical or other survey related experience is highly preferable
      • Excellent knowledge of the Norwegian and English languages
      • Willingness to travel for project kick off and client meetings
