Psychotherapist/Clinical Behavioral Health Trainer (Clinical Support to Bronson Employees)The Psychotherapist/Clinical Behavioral Health Trainer is responsible for the initial screening and assessment of employees of contracted companies and their family members for substance abuse, mental health, marriage and family problems, financial, legal and vocational issues. Makes determinations and recommendations as to the most appropriate level of care needed. Provides crisis intervention and brief counseling techniques. Maintains accurate and complete documentation to comply with regulatory requirements. Develop and conduct behavioral health trainings, workshops/seminars on topics related to the EAP field, including but not limited to, mental health issues, relational concerns, and stress management/coping skills, to contracted and prospective companies. Coordinate clinical trainings and interventions for critical incident stress debriefings requests. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or other related behavioral health degree; 3-5 years post-Master’s degree behavioral health training experience; and experience implementing empirically validated interventions and trainings required
Experience working with children/adolescents and professional organizations preferred
Must maintain valid and applicable licensure in Michigan in a behavioral health discipline (must be in good standing and valid in the state of Michigan)
Certification in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing/Management

Work which rarely produces a high level of mental/visual fatigue, i.e., less than 20 percent of the work time. The job produces some physical demands. Typical of jobs that include regular walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and some lifting of light weight objects.
• Assesses the presenting and longstanding problems of clients. Educates the client about their EAP benefit and how the program works.
• Makes determinations concerning the utilization of short-term therapy, according to established policies, or appropriate referral to a community treatment provider or helping resource, advising client on how to access insurance.
• Manages Management Referrals and other complex cases that require significant interaction and follow-up with client, employer, union officials, and treatment professionals.
• Document initial and subsequent contacts with all clients referred to HelpNet, indicating client psychosocial history, diagnostic impressions and recommendations. Document progress of treatment as well as follow-up care if/when a referral is made for longer-term treatment. Responsible for maintenance of client files to ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency requirements.
• Maintains appropriate level of confidentiality for all clients and customers utilizing HelpNet services, consistent with State and Federal laws.
• Coordinate training requests as it relates to clinical training needs for contracted and prospective companies.
• Develop and administer empirically validated behavioral health trainings to contracted and prospective companies.
• Identify learning objectives, performance outcomes, and evaluative strategies to deliver customized learning solutions.
• Manage all aspects of clinical training events, including identifying and prioritizing training needs.
• Coordinate and/or conduct interventions for critical incident crisis debriefing (CISD) for contracted companies in regional service area.
• Support account managers and corporate trainer with contract retention and marketing efforts (i.e., health fairs).
• Participates in hospital and department education and improvement measures by attending staff meetings.
• Maintains knowledge of current developments in EAP, mental health and substance abuse prevention and treatment through participation in professional associations, seminars and incorporates advancement into areas of responsibility as appropriate.
• Maintains current knowledge of local and national treatment providers, including fee schedules, areas of expertise, and insurance coverage.
• Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, the Compliance Accountability Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
• Conducts job functions in accordance with established department and system policies and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Provides outreach, virtual, and in-person services; Ability to work variable shifts when needed.
