- Core professional training and registration in a mental health profession (e.g. psychology, nurse, OT, Social Worker etc.) or equivalent.
- Recognised psychotherapy qualification and registered with UKCP as a psychotherapist, qualified Group Analyst or with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)
- Post graduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology
- Registered and accredited with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Eligible for graduate membership of BPS (British Psychology Society) and for Chartered Counselling or Clinical Psychology status and membership of the Division of Counselling or Clinical Psychology

- For Psychotherapist: Recognised psychodynamic psychotherapy qualification and registered with UKCP as a psychotherapist, qualified Group Analyst or with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

- oAwareness/Training/ Knowledge in one or more relevant modalities other than core therapy model (E.g. group analysis, DIT, CAT, IPT etc)
- Demonstrable experience of working in NHS (or equivalent) mental health services
- Experience of working with clients with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
- Experience of facilitating psychological, psychotherapeutic and psychosocial groups
- Demonstrable experience of working in multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrable interest of working in multi-agency environments
- Experiencing of managing highly complex situations concerning safeguarding and risk management
- Experience of managing own caseload and time
- Experience with routine outcome monitoring, audit and clinically related research.
- Experience of delivering brief, time limited psychological therapy interventions with complex mental health difficulties
- Experience in providing teaching or training to healthcare professionals and delivering supervision in specialised therapeutic model
- Experience of delivering agreed/specified service targets and effective time management in a busy and demanding environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of psychotherapy theory and practice and the ability to skilfully apply it to formulate treatment plans, work therapeutically within a time limit, and evaluate interventions.
- Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
- Advanced IT skills
- Ability to manage own caseload and time
- To be able to work flexibly across teams and sites in response to service(s) demands.
- Ability to use clinical supervision and personal development positively and effectively
- Ability to travel independently across sites in Berkshire and beyond as required

Job summary
We are looking for a clinician experienced Psychotherapist/Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist to join the Community Mental Health Team, Psychological Therapies, to provide evidence-based psychological therapy.
To provide assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention to clients with complex and severe mental health problems referred to the service in line with most recent evidence and service model.
The post holder will provide clinical advice, teaching and joint working to multi-professional teams and colleagues.
The post holder will undertake clinical audit activities, contribute to outcome measurement and review of the efficacy of the programme.
The post holder will participate in regular supervision and work within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Trust and service policies and procedures.
