      Join Sanofi in our site in Amsterdam as Public Affairs Manager, Specialty Care. In this role you will be responsible for driving the strategy-setting, engagement, and activation of all external stakeholders who steer or influence the policies that determine Sanofi’s ability to successfully secure patient’s access to medicines.

      You will be reporting to Head Communication and Public Affairs NL.

      About our team

      Our team identifies, assesses, engages and activates external stakeholders to strategically manage public policy issues that impact business outcomes. Together with the other Public Affairs Business Partners (PA BPs) in the Netherlands, the different Global Business Units (GBUs) are served based on their needs.

      Main responsibilities

      • Ensures that the local PA needs from the assigned Global Business Units are well-known and addressed. Based on their strategies, any activities and opportunities are identified and pursued. The local Patient Care managers Secialty Care report into the Public Affairs manager SPC
      • The Public Affairs manager coordinates as a Business Partner the blending of internal and external voices in order to:
        • Establish and agree on the issue or unmet need
        • Communicate & advocate for the right solution
        • Shape the environment to create market readiness
        • Develop and support an implementation pathway
      • Mapping & Insights of health care environment (e.g. identify policy/health issues that impact the business; understand the external environment and identify the expectations and interests of key external stakeholders etc.)
      • Strategy Setting (e.g., determine the engagement and advocacy strategies that will most effectively achieve policy changes and business objectives; construct and roll-out a long-term Public Affairs plan for the assigned GBU(s) etc.)
      • Engaging (e.g., identify and approach stakeholders and influencers to understand common points of interest or similar priorities in their agendas; engage to continue or start building trust-based relations etc.)
      • Advocating (e.g., determine approaches to engage and activate external stakeholders to achieve policy changes and business objectives and execute them by means of coalition-building, proactive campaigns, calls to action, etc.; ensure Sanofi’s point of view is heard by establishing and maintaining open dialogue between Sanofi Netherlands and (non-traditional) external key stakeholders etc.)
      • Managing a team (e.g., ensure Patient Care team is functioning well: close collaboration with the relevant franchises, and delivering output; coaching etc.)

      About you

      • Master’s degree in an appropriate field (Health Sciences, Policy, Politics) or equivalent experience. Medical degree (pharmacist, doctor) is welcomed
      • At least 7 years of experience in an industrial, consultancy, trade association, political or other relevant environment, with proven experience in a public affairs or similar role
      • Management experience is welcomed
      • Has an existing network of relevant stakeholders in the country
      • Has a deep understanding of the political and health care systems of the country, including the reimbursement systems applicable to Sanofi’s products
      • Oral and written fluency in Dutch and in English
