What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide administrative support for two Associate Directors of Publicity
- Assist in writing and distributing press releases and creative pitch letters
- Coordinate author book tours, including travel arrangements and schedule maintenance
- Monitor book coverage in key media outlets and track bestseller information
- Research and update publicity databases with media outlets and event venues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Some previous experience in an office environment is beneficial
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Internship at a publishing house, in event planning, or in a public relations capacity
- Ability to attend author events in the NY/NJ/CT area
