- Test Resolved (Fixed) Defects and ensure Automation coverage of the fixed behavior using Trail file mechanism. Ensure fixing of legacy trail files for changed workflows in newer releases.
- Analyze customer defect inflow in his functional
- learn what failed in past test strategies. Improve for future.
- Excellent on hand one on Creo Parametric.
- Good knowledge of PLM/PDM applications like Windchill.
- knowledge of Other CAD tools like UG and Catia are added advantage
- 2D to 3D interpretation. (Multiple solutions for one problem. Different perspectives to look at a problem)
- And QA aptitude added advantage.

Your Role:
As a Production-System QA.
You must play both roles as a Creo Super user as well as active Quality Assurance role.
As you are the first user of the developed Software, you should be an active QA to test whole System in Customer environment.
S/he Should always ask Why/Why-Not in the Software and Log product defects via SPR’s using the Software defects Tracking System.
Attend System Testing and Quality Assurance Techniques seminar and Trainings.
Develop strong knowledge of all PTC products.
Follow organization process and best practices.
Provide training, Sharing knowledge to other team members.
Must have written and verbal communication skills.
Your Impact:
Creo is one of the Flagship products of PTC. It is a CAD utility to design a range of products as tiny pacemaker, designer watches, Satellites, Drive trains in automobiles, automotive engines to state a few. Many of the products that you may use every day may have used Creo for Design.
A Systems QA engineer in a Systems QA role, plays the role of a Super user (modeler/Designer) of Creo Software. S/he is the first user of new functions before launch to market. This job is perfect opportunity for an Advance user of Creo with a design experience of at least 4-6years +. It is vital to understand the way designers work in various industries, knowledge of industrial design standards, design to manufacture handovers and some knowledge of Cad Interaction with Windchill or Team center. Knowledge in Additive manufacturing and Generative Design is a plus. Ability to create Shell / Perl scripts is an advantage. The candidate should possess good observation skills, aptitude to defect finding and the ability to communicate the defect with the concerned.
Your Team:
Production QA Team simulates a customer like environment within PTC. The team has a flat structure. It tests workflows used by few Key customers of Creo as well as a completely adhoc approach at times. The Testing approach is Non-spec driven Exploratory testing without test plans.
The team has variety of Super users from different industry with breadth of knowledge across Creo Modules and Windchill interaction. This team is the gatekeeper of quality; its major role is to ensure regression free software to market, especially, from Stabilization phase of new release to its Maintenance. Naturally, with time, this team has the most mature users of Creo, who are known for their skills in Adhoc testing. This team also monitors new defects, and the test strategy is tuned towards target weak areas.
