      Compass Group at Binghamton University is searching for a passionate, detail-driven Quality Assurance Manager to champion food safety, sanitation excellence, and operational compliance across our vibrant campus dining program. If you’re energized by hands-on problem-solving, coaching teams, and upholding the highest safety standards in a fast-paced food service environment, this role is for you.

      Drive a Culture of Safety & Excellence

      Promote and reinforce food safety, occupational safety, and QA best practices across campus dining operations.
      Support investigations for food safety incidents, workplace injuries, and guest complaints—ensuring timely follow-up, documentation, and resolution.

      Lead Quality Oversight & Compliance

      Conduct monthly sanitation and quality audits at unit level.
      Track and analyze QA and safety audit scores; partner with leadership to implement action plans.
      Ensure all QA documentation is complete, accurate, and always audit-ready.
      Hold teams accountable for proper execution of food safety and safety standards.

      Coach, Train & Elevate Teams

      Provide QA training for hourly and salaried associates.
      Continually verify team competency; recommend disciplinary action where appropriate.
      Work closely with managers and chefs to develop improvement plans and sustain corrective actions.

      Collaborate & Communicate

      Liaise regularly with clients, senior leadership, chefs, and campus dining managers on all QA initiatives.
      Participate in external audits and lead internal inspections.
      Deliver clear written feedback following audits and inspections.
      Produce quarterly QA dashboards highlighting trends and compliance for client QBRs.

      Champion Operational Safety Programs

      Maintain occupational safety logs and safety boards.
      Ensure full compliance with Compass Group safety standards, including QSI and MFSI requirements.
      Preferred Qualifications

      We’re seeking a QA professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for food safety:

      Bachelor’s degree (Food Science, Food Technology, Environmental Science, Nutrition/Dietetics)
      Plus: minimum 2 years of experience, with at least:
      1 year in food protection
      1 year in foodservice or retail food operations involving monitoring of food safety practices
      OR
      Associate’s degree in a related science field
      Plus: minimum 4 years of experience, including:
      1 year in food protection
      3 years in foodservice or retail operations


      Required Certifications:

      ServSafe
      HACCP
