      Kier Construction have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Scotland business based out of our offices in Stepps. Initially working as Project Q.S on a high profile heritage project just outside of Glasgow City Centre the Q.S role offers exposure to a wide range of new build and refurbishment projects across public and private sector clients.

      Joining Kier construction will offer long term career development and the opportunity to join a people focussed contractor delivering projects from £2M - £100M transforming communities across the country.

      Location : Glasgow

      Contract : Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday

      As a Project Quantity Surveyor you will Support the commercial lead in managing the commercial aspects of the project to ensure commercial benefit. You will be exposed to a wide range of commercial activities including but not limited to:

      • Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR reports.

      • Carrying out regular valuations for payment of sub contractors

      • Ensuring any additions & variations are costed for and within the contact scope.

      • Settling the final accounts

      • Providing detailed information for any claims

      What we need from you:

      • Prior experience working under NEC / JCT contract conditions

      • Experience of working on refurbishments / upgrades to existing buildings

      • Strong commercial and contractual acumen

      • Full UK Driving License
