Quantum computing has the potential to transform the industry by achieving large computational speed-ups over classical computers. Advances in quantum technologies have propelled quantum computing from a theoretical physics field to experimental physics and engineering.
Come join us as part of a small Intel Labs team exploring quantum computer architecture. You will work on co-designing quantum machines of tomorrow, exploring the performance of technology alternatives while collaborating with algorithm and application researchers to explore hardware/software trade-offs.Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your work experience, graduate school, post-doc research and/or relevant internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. The Candidate must be pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
2. 2+ years Research experience in Computer Architecture
3. 2+ years’ experience coding in C/C++
4. 2+ years’ experience with quantum computing research
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 1+ year experience with the Intel Quantum SDK

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in
US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California:$63,000.00-$166,000.00S al ary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
Work Model for this Role
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
