      Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. We have been serving residents of Edgar County since 1968 though community education, emergency services, and outpatient care.       Position Summary:

      The incumbent is capable of supervising, implementing and maintaining all networking, PACS, RIS and EHR functions within the radiology department and all of its connections. Other duties may include PI and QA projects, peer review and addition data research for the radiology department. Must be able to function as a Radiologic Technologist, maintaining registries and proper licensure.

      Essential Functions:

      • Conducts requested testing in the Radiology department per the physician’s orders.
      • Demonstrates competency in collimation, positioning and techniques.
      • Evaluates radiographs for technical quality before delivery to the radiologist.
      • Must be proficient with a number of different machines and procedures used for radiology testing processes.
      • Inspires confidence from patients, visitors, families and staff, by performing and communication in a professional manner at all times.
      • Respects the confidentiality of patient orders and records; uses discretion in discussion of patient health.
      • Must be proficient in all aspects of radiology networking, including PACS, RIS and EHR.
      • Capable of performing PI, QA, peer review and obtaining data that impacts the radiology department.
      • Monitors, maintains, trains and assists all PACS/networking functions within the organization and its external partners.
      • Must be available for call coverage, rotating shifts and disaster call back.

      The responsibilities listed above are not all-inclusive; other activities may be required in support of the hospital’s goals and objectives.

      Position Requirements:

      • High School Graduate or equivalent/Associate’s Degree preferred.
      • Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an approved school.
      • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
      • State of Illinois licensure through the Department of Nuclear Safety or IEMA.
      • Extensive background in PACS, RIS and EHR networking.

      Position Information:

      Location: 721 E. Court Street, Paris, IL 61944

      Hours: Monday- Friday 8am-430pm, will consider 4 10hr shifts.
