Job Description
- Req#: 18232
- Access PACS and identify patients studies. Print images, or burn CD from PACS
- Execute retrieval of radiology reports for review by authorized individuals, inclusive of faxing reports
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers; Greet, announce visitors and notify appropriate staff members
- Answer and screen telephone calls and take messages; Respond to inquiries from callers and visitors or refers to department staff
- Copy records and other information as needed. Sort and distribute department mail
- Interact with customer via telephone and in person to gather and obtain information relating to exam including insurance information, referrals, and prescriptions.
- Order imaging examinations per physician orders
- Ensure unit is supplied with the necessary forms and supplies
- Facilitate the movement of patients into and out of the department; Coordinate with patient transport
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year administrative assistant/receptionist experience in a physician office preferred
- Strong communication skills required
- Ability to multitask in a fast pace environment required
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office strongly desired
- Knowledge in medical terminology or course work in human anatomy strongly preferred
- Ability to work collaborative and independently with physician; patients; and office staff
