      The Airfare Optimization Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing Blockskye's international rates and revenue management programs. This role requires a deep understanding of airline contracts, fare structures, and commission opportunities to maximize revenue and customer savings.

      The ideal candidate is highly motivated and passionate about industry trends, technology, and driving operational efficiency. You will work closely with internal teams, key client contacts, vendor partners, and leadership to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth while improving the overall customer experience.

      Requirements

      Airfare Optimization & Contract Management:
      • Conduct air contract review and testing to ensure proper application of corporate agreements and to maximize commission and markup revenue.
      • Provide consultation on qualifying itineraries to drive revenue and savings through contracts, markup channels, or rebooking.
      • Complete thorough and accurate reviews of all international PNRs to secure the lowest logical airfare within policy.
      • Partner with client compliance teams to ensure fare selections align with travel policy guidelines, securing the lowest logical fares while maintaining policy adherence and maximizing cost savings.
      • Ensure all commission opportunities are realized while minimizing the risk of debit memos.
      • Performance Analysis & Strategic Insights
      • Manage daily reviews of ARC reports to track commission opportunities and identify discrepancies.
      • Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
      • Collaborate with leadership to align goals and strategies with broader client and company objectives.
      • Use data to provide actionable insights that drive both short-term and long-term performance improvements.


      Training & Support:
      • Provide guidance to internal teams on fare structures, contract utilization, and revenue opportunities.
      • Support employee education and development by sharing industry knowledge and best practices.
      • Collaborate with training teams to update content and deliver training related to complex international reservations
      • Support operational teams with complex ticketing and fare construction, including IRD, refunds, and exchanges.
      • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance pricing efficiency and effectiveness.


      Requirements:
      • 10+ years experience in International Rates and Operations, with emphasis on corporate travel
      • Strong working knowledge of airline tariffs, fare rules, gateway cities, and commission contracts.
      • Expertise in fare construction, including complex multi-leg routes, RTW fares, and international ticketing.
      • Mastery of at least one GDS; Amadeus experience preferred.
      • Excellent analytical skills with a strong understanding of data analysis and performance management.
      • Proven ability to manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
      • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and strategic approach.
      • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; ability to deliver clear and effective insights.
      • Service-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
      • Highly motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
      • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and operational analytics tools.
