- Coordinate verbally and in writing with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, owners, and project team members.
- Develop commissioning scopes of work and fee proposals.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
- Collaborate with the Cx Project Coordinator to create and maintain project plans in Vantagepoint.
- Communicate full project scope, contractual requirements, safety expectations, and regulatory requirements to Impact Cx staff and project partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and Impact Cx staff on assigned projects.
- Perform design reviews including OPR, BOD, plans, and specifications.
- Facilitate OPR workshops as required.
- Review submittals and shop drawings.
- Develop commissioning plans.
- Conduct site observation visits and prepare site observation reports.
- Develop project-specific test scripts, including Pre-Functional Checklists (PFC), Functional Performance Tests (FPT), and Integrated Systems Tests (IST).
- Execute and witness commissioning tests onsite.
- Facilitate commissioning meetings and distribute meeting minutes.
- Manage and track the resolution of commissioning issues.
- Develop commissioning reports and systems manuals.
- Perform warranty walkthroughs and update commissioning documentation as needed.
- Partner with Impact Cx Project Accountants to support monthly invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Monitor project performance, financials, and schedules to support successful project delivery.
- Support growth and expansion of Impact Cx services within the assigned region.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships.
- Participate in business development efforts, including proposal development and qualification packages.
- Act as a people manager for assigned team members, accountable for performance, attendance, and conduct.
- Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback through ongoing performance check-ins.
- Monitor timekeeping and schedule adherence in alignment with project needs and company policy.
- Partner with Human Resources on performance management, documentation, and corrective action as needed.
- Support onboarding, professional development, and ongoing reinforcement of company values and safety standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable team environment aligned with Salas O'Brien's people-first culture.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 15+ years of equivalent experience in MEP construction, commissioning, and project management.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
- Certification in Building Commissioning required.
- Project Management certification preferred.
- OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour Construction Safety training preferred.
- Proven project management experience.
- Knowledge of Building Automation Systems preferred.
- Field experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Ability to read, understand, and act on project financial information.
- Ability to bend and lift up to 30 lbs.

Job Summary
The Cx Regional Manager is responsible for leading and delivering commissioning services across their assigned region, while also growing Impact Cx capabilities, client relationships, and team capacity. This role works closely with the Impact Cx Leadership Team, regional team members, and external project stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of fully commissioned buildings.
This position combines technical leadership, project management, business development, and people leadership. The Cx Regional Manager oversees commissioning projects from pre-construction through close-out, manages client relationships, supports regional business growth, and acts as a people manager for assigned team members.
This is a 100% remote position requiring approximately 30-40% travel, locally and nationally, to commissioning sites. As a Cx Provider / Project Manager, this role targets a 40-50% utilization rate.

Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
