      El Camino Health Medical Network is currently seeking a Regional Director to join our growing Operations Team here in Los Gatos!!

      Salary: $164,769-$182,049

      Location: Los Gatos, CA

      Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

      The El Camino Health Medical Network (ECHMN/SVMD) is an ambulatory care organization growing our presence throughout Santa Clara County by elevating the healthcare experience for consumers.       The primary responsibilities of this position are to direct, supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the ambulatory care practices to effectively deliver outstanding patient care. This involves direct or indirect responsibility for staffing, fiscal planning, and budget management, implementation of best practices for standardization by specialty, patient satisfaction, staff, and provider engagement, and working effectively with organizational support services and providers.

      Essential Functions:

      Operations Administration

      • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of ECHMN primary care and specialty care practices
      • Develop short and long-range goals to improve the overall operations of ECHMN clinics; implement action plans and assess progress.
      • Supervise, mentor and direct staff to ensure outstanding patient experience, workflows, quality and compliance, and staff and provider engagement are achieved.

      Building Teamwork

      • Provide an open communication environment to facilitate teamwork.
      • Keep managers, employees and providers regularly informed in a timely manner.
      • Use the principles of continuous improvement to bring resolution to issues or problems.
      • Ensure there is qualified, well-trained staff to provide appropriate level of service.
      • Hire, develop and train new team members; oversee performance management of staff.
      • Provide a positive and productive learning experience for the medical assistant students.

      Financial

      • Prepare annual budgets.
      • Manage operational budgets, monitor monthly expense reports, and provide justifications regarding variances.
      • Direct site managers to implement best practices to effectively operate within budget.

      Clinic Network and New Programs

      • Participate in the planning and opening of new practices.
      • Execute ECHMN’s model based on best practices to include customer service, hospitality, and patient/guest relations.
      • Ensure effective Epic EMR go-live and optimization across multiple practice locations in partnership with IT and providers. Establish operational workflows, templates, etc.
      • Execute a performance system that is metrics driven and instilled with team huddles and Active Daily management.
      • All other duties as assigned including department-specific functions and responsibilities.

      • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of medical group practice management in an integrated setting with emphasis on A/R revenue cycle management, practice operations, front and back office, clinical operations, ambulatory policies and operating procedures, coding and compliance, patient satisfaction standards, staff and provider engagement, and State and Federal regulations.
      • Perform other duties as assigned and participate in organizational projects.
      • Adheres to HR, safety, HIPAA and compliance policies, and attendance requirements.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in business or health care administration, or related, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
      • Three (3) years of operations management experience in a medical group, medical foundation, or ambulatory care organization with multi-site operations
      • Knowledge of Epic EMR and workflow templates
      • Demonstrated ability in leading Performance Improvement initiatives; preparedness to become trained and to train staff and affiliated providers and embrace and utilize Lean methodologies as the primary change management tool.
      • Knowledge of the enterprise health system, billing processes, clinical procedures, budget preparation, staffing models, employee labor relations, regulations, marketing, coding and compliance and previous integration with physicians in a management role
      • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships through collaboration with widely diverse groups, including physicians/providers, individuals at all levels both internal and external of the organization, and gain their cooperation.
      • Management skills necessary to attract, mentor/develop and retain staff.
      • Leadership and teambuilding skills: Ability to establish a spirit and team culture of excellence among staff and physicians/providers.
      • Excellent communication skills, includes dealing with physicians/providers, patients, internal and external partners, executives, and staff.
      • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; persuading, negotiating, conflict resolution, consulting, advising and presentation skills.
      • Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
      • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem resolution skills to improve processes.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
      • Ability to work independently to produce accurate and high-quality work.
      • Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports.

      Preferred :

      • Master’s degree in health care or business administration
      • Experience in a start-up organization.
