What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage independent sales representatives and drive sales channel management activities
- Conduct product demonstrations and training presentations for customers
- Collaborate with inside sales and customer service staff to resolve customer issues
- Build and maintain relationships with consulting engineering firms and customers to drive specifications and brand preference
- Provide support for high-profile projects and maintain reporting on sales activities and long-term projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in electrical or mechanical engineering, computer science, marketing, or related field
- 7-10 years of experience in an outside sales management role in a technical sales environment
- Valid Driver's License
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with automation equipment and general instrumentation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with water/wastewater industry applications
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), remote terminal units (RTUs), and flow measurement devices
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 and familiarity with ERP and CRM platforms such as Epicor and Salesforce
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to achieve sales goals
