Medical A (28 beds) and Medical B (32 beds) Wards provide a combined 60-bed acute medical service within a busy regional hospital, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across a broad range of medical sub-specialties, including General Medicine, Cardiology (including telemetry), Respiratory Medicine, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Neurology, Infectious Diseases, Geriatric Medicine, Haematology, Palliative and Supportive Care.The Medical A Ward includes 4 High Dependency Unit beds and 4 Telemetry beds, supporting the care of patients with increased clinical complexity and acuity, requiring enhanced monitoring, timely clinical escalation, and multidisciplinary management.
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to acutely unwell patients while working collaboratively within a skilled multidisciplinary team, with a strong focus on patient safety, quality outcomes, and escalation in line with local policy. This role requires participation in a seven-day rotating roster, including morning, evening, and night shifts. You will work closely with medical officers, allied health professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients throughout their admission.
