      Remote Certified Medical Assistant based out of Houston, TX!

      Position Overview:
      We are partnering with a physician group seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA) for a primarily remote role. This position focuses on phone triage, provider message management, and document handling. It is a non-patient-facing role. Initial onsite training (approximately 3 weeks) is required in Pearland, TX, after which qualified candidates may transition to fully remote work.

      Position Details:
      • Work Arrangement: Remote (after completion of ~3-5 weeks of onsite training)
      • Position Type: Contract-to-Hire (520-hour contract)
      • Start Date: Mid-April
      • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
      • Compensation: $17-$20/hour DOE

      Key Responsibilities:
      • Answer and triage incoming patient calls (~50% of role)
      • Manage in-basket messages and provider requests (~50% of role)
      • Handle document management, including FMLA paperwork and forms requiring provider signatures
      • Utilize electronic systems such as EPIC and other internal platforms for daily tasks and workflows

      Required Skills & Qualifications
      • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
      • Certification: Active Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA or CCMA required)
      • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a primary care setting preferred; experience handling immunization-related inquiries is a plus
      • Technical Skills: EPIC experience required; reliable high-speed internet (fiber or copper connection required; no Wi-Fi permitted during production work)

      Equipment Security Deposit Policy
      • A $300 security deposit is required for remote equipment
      • Payment plan: $30 per week for 10 weeks
      • Deposit is fully refundable upon conversion to a permanent role or return of equipment at assignment end

      Training & Equipment
      • Minimum 3 weeks of onsite training required prior to remote transition
      • Training includes systems such as EPIC, scheduling tools, document management platforms, and call handling software
      • All necessary equipment will be provided

      Compliance Requirements:
      • Drug screening and health screens
      • Background check
      • Education Verification - High School Education or equivalent
      • Employment verification for the past 7 years
      • Must obtain active MA certification (NRCMA or CCMA)
      • 3 professional references
