Job Description

- Prepare for your lessons by going through the provided material and deciding what should be taught and how it can be customized based on the customers' needs
- Deliver customer-focused, online lessons on Zoom
- Create a professional and supportive environment where customers can feel free to make mistakes and experiment with the target language
- Document customers' attendance and progress after the lesson
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Expert-level English ability
- Exceptional online communication skills
- Minimum of 4.5 hours of availability at least three days a week
- Teaching experience (a plus but not required)
- An internet connection with 3 Mbps upload and download speeds (10 Mbps or higher is recommended for better video quality and stability)
- A PC or laptop running the latest Windows or Mac OS
- A high-quality headset and a camera
- Flexible scheduling to fit your personal needs
- The ability to work from home, allowing you to save time and money on your daily commute
- Free intensive training of the Berlitz Method
**Lessons are delivered seven days a week (Monday through Sunday) 07:00 to 21:15 Japan Standard Time - we are looking for availability during these hours**

About The Job
Customers come to Berlitz not just to learn a language, but to experience other cultures. As a remote, freelance English Instructor you will use the Berlitz Method of instruction to create an environment where our Japan-based clientele feel comfortable experimenting in the target language and achieving their goals. We will provide an online training course where you will learn how to deliver lessons using the Berlitz Method as well as access to our learning tools and materials.
