What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate revenue integrity and charge-related denials with the Patient Business Service center
- Conduct thorough and routine chart reviews, providing education to clinical colleagues
- Track identified trends in charge-related issues and provide necessary education to responsible parties
- Collaborate with the Revenue Integrity team to implement front-end processes for denial prevention
- Serve as a resource contact, providing clinical information as requested by colleagues and payers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited program associated with license
- Minimum of four (4) years of nursing experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of revenue cycle and denial management functions
- Knowledge and experience in case management and utilization management
- Customer service background is required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor's degree
- Two plus (2+) years of charge audit, managed care, or comparable patient payment processing experience
- AAPC, AHIMA, or CHRI certification/membership
- Outpatient Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) experience
