Position Type: 6 month contract assignment with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need

Compensation: $132 /HR
Role Summary
The Contracting Associate supports Market Access and Account Management by providing expertise in state Medicaid contracting. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of state Medicaid contracts, including pricing models and accurate execution of contract terms in alignment with business strategy and legal intent. The position also supports state Medicaid bid solicitations, financial evaluations, and contract performance reporting, serving as a subject matter expert to ensure contracts reflect negotiated terms.
Key Responsibilities
State Medicaid Contracting Expertise
• Support negotiation, implementation, and lifecycle management of state Medicaid contracts
• Serve as a primary liaison for state Medicaid contracts, including supplemental rebate agreements
• Interpret complex contract language and assess implications for Best Price, URA, AMP, and other government pricing metrics
• Manage contract redlining in response to evolving policy dynamics
Financial Impact Analysis
• Support financial analysis related to state Medicaid contracting
• Investigate discrepancies between expected and actual performance outcomes
• Assist with Medicaid segment-level impact analysis
Compliance, Audit & Controls
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Government Pricing teams to ensure contract execution aligns with regulatory requirements
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to support contract execution
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and approval processes
Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of Medicaid programs and contract execution
• Experience supporting state Medicaid bid solicitations
• Ability to execute contracting and negotiation strategies
• High attention to detail and risk awareness
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory and contractual language
• Effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• MBA
• 3+ years of experience in state Medicaid contracting
• Strong understanding of pricing, rebates, GTN, and government reporting impacts
• Experience redlining and negotiating contracts
Preferred
• Familiarity with GTN modeling and government pricing analytics
• Strong data literacy with ability to validate datasets and assumptions
• Experience in highly regulated, cross-functional environments
