Identify new opportunities in Personal Care space for better cleansing and consumer-centric benefits via novel data-driven approaches for improved products

Support research to develop data-driven predictive analytical models, product prototypes and/or processes for the better formulation designs

Support PD methods for validation, scale-up and technology transfer of product prototypes (includes lab batching, stability, in-vitro testing, consumer & clinical testing)

Be the key contact between R&D and Digital Innovation Teams to further understand, design and improve product performance for enhanced cleansing efficacy and delivery of relevant skin benefit attributes

Leverage novel digital tools to support and enhance our R&D + Digital Innovation strategies - write custom code to extract internal data, perform associated data engineering, cleansing, statistics and visualizations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of key project initiatives and support of other projects as assigned

Manage reports and presentation updates of results on a routine basis to technical and business partners

Conduct competitive landscape research to help build innovative roadmaps and avenues of investigation for both our R&D and digital innovation projects

Proficient in product development based research approaches, testing and validation with a passion for data coding and problem solving insights

Knowledge in surfactant chemistry and formulation a plus; along with GMP skills and use of general lab instruments (pH meter, rheometer, mixer etc)

Demonstrate proficiency to stay informed on the latest technological developments and breakthroughs via scientific literature, industry publications, patent filings and conferences

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and decision making skills

Proficient insight into data science programming/coding - python, statistical concepts, data mining and machine learning techniques

An aptitude to learn and build on your technical data programming expertise a plus

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physical Sciences or related science. Master's degree or higher preferred.

Minimum of 1-3 years laboratory experience in Personal/Skin Care product development and/or efficacy testing (Oral Care PD, Home Care PD considered)

Proficient in Product Development based research, evaluation, testing and scale-up

Insights into data science programming language for digital applications (e.g. Python, Java, SQL, Data Visualization tools etc)

Good knowledge of computer systems and software (Google Suites, Windows, electronic lab notebook, LIMS); and Cloud Data architecture

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, for both technical and business professionals

Good leadership skills in working with cross-category teams and external project partners

In this role, you will be responsible for research centered around cleansing & care liquid soap formulations for improved product optimization, stability, efficacy performance and claims substantiation; while working with our Digital Innovation Team to assess and design code language around improving data collection & storage, predictive capabilities, and digital transformation platforms.
