Description

The Reservations Agent position is responsible for providing exceptional service while making reservations for leisure, corporate, and group travelers, as well as, our signature restaurant Herons. The Reservations Agent will work closely with all departments as a cohesive team. The Reservations Agent will assist the Reservations Manager and Revenue Manager with daily responsibilities when reserving guest rooms according to the hotel’s financial strategy. This is a FULL-TIME position and candidates should have open availability to work 40 or more hours per week.

Duties:

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Answering reservation calls for the hotel, restaurant and spa.
2. Entering reservation information into OPERA the hotels property management system, OpenTable the restaurants reservation system, or Spasoft the spas management system.
3. Checking department e-mail and responding accordingly.
4. Making gift cards via phone and through our online purchasing site.
5. Communicating guest preferences and any pertinent information to the effected department quickly and clearly.
6. Reviewing and monitoring online reservations booked through SynXis to ensure accuracy.
7. Providing clear description of hotel features and amenities.
8. Maintaining Forbes 5 Star and AAA 5 Diamond quality standards for phone verbiage and etiquette.

Qualifications

1. High school degree or equivalent (preferred)
2. 1+ year hotel experience (preferred)
3. Experience in a call center setting, hotel reservations preferred.
4. Excellent communication skills & etiquette both written and by phone.
5. Experience with OPERA and OpenTable preferred.
6. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is needed, as well as the ability to type faster than 50WPM.
