      This is a dynamic position in a fast-paced group. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and excellent communication skills. The candidate will interact with many groups within the company in a highly visible position. In this position, the candidate will oversee the recognition of revenue to ensure proper statement and consistent interpretation and compliant application of US GAAP and company policy. The candidate will support back end operations for revenue transactions and provide business analysis and internal reporting for Senior Management. This role will also require partnership with sales and various other internal groups.

      Responsibilities:

      • Ensure revenue recognition is in accordance with the company’s policy and SaaS revenue recognition accounting standard ASC 606
      • Interact with Legal, Sales Ops, FP&A, Sales, Pricing and Product Groups on projects, deal structuring, deal approvals, go-to-market strategies, contract negotiation
      • Manage, mentor, and supervise a team of professionals
      • Address technical accounting inquiries from the business and provide guidance/implications
      • Identify and implement internal controls and process improvements
      • Provide contract review summaries for completed transactions (for internal and audit purposes)
      • Actively participate in new system initiatives, including configuration and upkeep of NetSuite’s Advanced Revenue Module (ARM) and Salesforce.com quote-to-cash process initiatives
      • Assist with financial audits including reconciliations, support documentation, and communication with external auditors
      • Managing and improving the Standalone Selling Price (SSP) methodology and related testing
      • Assist with the management of Accounts Receivable processes
      • Assist with period-end close activities
      • Provide training to other functional areas
      • Collaborate with the FP&A group on revenue forecasting and related metrics
      • Miscellaneous projects as necessary

      Required Skills / Experience:

      • Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance
      • CPA strongly preferred
      • 2-4 years minimum Public Accounting experience with a Big 4 (strongly desired)
      • 5 years prior accounting experience with a SaaS company
      • Must have an advanced knowledge of Excel
      • Ability to problem solve, both from an accounting and system perspective
      • Ability to work independently but also be a team player
      • Able to prioritize in fast-paced environment
      • Exceptional project and time management skills
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
      • Experienced with NetSuite and Salesforce.com
      $112,600 - $140,000 a year
      The anticipated base salary hiring range for this position is:
      California: $112,600 - 140,000
      All other US locations: $93,500 - $129,000
      The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
