      Job summary

      Exciting opportunity to join a large, modern, innovative Practice in Huddersfield (5 minutes from the M62 junction). Looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player who enjoys working in a successful, high acheiving Practice. Our experienced multidisciplinary team currently consists of 9 GPs, 2 ANPs, 1 PA, 4 Pharmacists, 5 Practice Nurses and 5 HCAs. We use TPP SystmOne.

      You will be part of the egalatarian Clinical and Management Team (CMT) who oversee all aspects of the Practice. We are always keen to develop new ways of working to simplify processes and streamline workflow, ensuring responsibilities are shared out equitably and with full support. Individuals who enjoy transformation and practice development will be welcomed. We offer a flexible and supported work environment.

      Main duties of the job

      Newly qualified or experienced GPs welcome to join our team. We work on 10 minute appointments, with supportive catch up gaps and a mixture telephone and face to face appointments. We embrace all aspects of modern IT and AI-supported working.

      For newly qualified GPs - we will support you to settle in and gradually ease into the Practice ways of working. We shall appoint a buddy to support you as part of the induction process.

      We would like the new colleague to have aspirations to develop a special interest as well as contributing to the training environment at the Practice.

      There is a requirement to contribute towards the Practice Extended Access sessions on a fixed day of the week, in line with our other clinicians. Extended access sessions typically start later in the day and finishes at 8pm (last patients at 7:40).

      We currently operate a total triage system alongside Patchs online consultations and provide training and support for the same.

      1. Provide Personal Medical Services to acceptable clinical standards to patients, both in surgery and on home visits.
      2. Respond to medical problems presented by patients on the medical list, including history taking, examination, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, referral where appropriate and adequate documentation with READ coding onto the GP Computer system.
      3. Provide appropriate health promotion and preventative health care and advice to the Practice patients attending the centre within the context of primary health care.
      4. Attend all team meetings and other meetings as may be necessary for PMS duties.
      5. Carry out clinically related administrative and non-clinical duties needed for the delivery of personal medical services.
      6. Provide free certification in line with Schedule 9 of NHS GMS Regulations (1992).
      7. Provide emergency cover for absent colleagues from time to time as detailed.
      8. Maintain patient clinical records in line with the electronic patient record system.
