- Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals.
- Develop and maintain custom Apex Classes and Triggers as well as custom Lightning Components.
- Administer, support, and maintain both internal and customer-facing use of Salesforce, related to custom applications, user permissions, security settings, custom fields/objects, workflows, and data management.
- Collaborate cross functionally with other IT Teams to create functional and scalable solutions.
- Support release management, deployments, and environment strategy including sandbox management and version control workflows.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for solutions, integrations, and architecture decisions.
- Assist with Salesforce integration activities as needed, building working knowledge of integration patterns and tools to provide operational support for Salesforce based integrations.
- Identify and recommend potential opportunities to incorporate innovative methods and emerging trends within area of expertise.
- Other duties as assigned.
OVERVIEW
The Salesforce Developer works within the Salesforce and IT Team to focus on the development, implementation, and maintenance of custom-built Salesforce solutions as well as third party and AppExchange integrations. This role drives operational productivity and maximizes the use of the Salesforce platform by enhancing the ongoing development of the Salesforce environment in support of PLTW’s mission. Occasional travel required.
