  The Opportunity

  The Senior SAP Security Analyst will support Avantor’s access approach across both SAP and non-SAP application landscapes. The role requires a depth of SAP system experience as well as skills for advising and supporting the business with ongoing technology and process improvements. Responsible for the design and delivery of SAP security authorization and user access administration across multiple SAP systems, as well as administration and support of a control suite of applications and related processes; Responsible for knowledge and technical skills to support the SAP landscape; Responsible for working with the system integrators, project management and governance staff to enable the user community to achieve their roles and objectives, while providing proper access controls. It will require working with IT business partners to understand impacts of incoming projects/initiatives as they relate to our SAP security design.

  What we’re looking for

  Education:

  • 7+ years’ experience designing and implementing SAP Security authorizations and technology across ECC\R3, BI, CRM, GRC, C4C EWM, Fiori, HANA S/4, CFIN, MDG platforms.

  Experience:

  • Experience in a complex environment: multiple system environment, multiple languages, multiple business processes based on geographic norms.
  • Thorough understanding of SoX ITGC controls
  • Experience working with BASIS personnel to ensure the security design of RFC connections, system parameters, table and batch processing align with BASIS standards to safeguard system stability.
  • Experienced in requirements gathering, functional design, system configuration, QA test planning and execution, release management, user training, documentation preparation, and production support.
  • Experienced working in large global implementations that involve several geographies to define the global process and templates that can be deployed to several regions.
  • Experience in the SAP security domain deploying authorization objects, task-based roles, and profiles.
  • Ability to architect SAP roles, with least privileged model and SOD-free
  • Translate complex requirements from multiple business areas into an efficient security authorization\role design based on SAP best practices
  • Understanding of GRC processes, SOX Controls, CMMC, ITAR as it relates to SAP Access Role Design
  • Utilize risk analysis tools such as SAP GRC to ensure that security design meets the requirements for ‘least privilege’ and any identified risks are escalated to appropriate risk owners. Ability to work with business teams to determine appropriate balance between access requirements and risk.
  • Overall knowledge of SAP Finance/HR/Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Distribution transactions and the accompanying authorizations.
  • Have the capability to discuss SAP Security approach in simple terms and be able to articulate issues that drive standard decisions to all levels in the organization

  • Assist in designing, testing, architecting, developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining information security for SAP platforms and systems, user identities, user access roles, and authorizations; driving strategic SAP security architecture.
  • Thorough understanding of the latest S4/Hana SAP Security Authorization concepts
  • Experience integrating Identity Management solutions such as Sailpoint\Saviynt\Okta with existing SAP platforms
  • Knowledge and security experience with SAP platforms: e.g., ECC, GRC, BW, C4C, SCM, Solution Manager, S/4HANA, CFIN, MDG, and Fiori.
  • Experience with managing and implementing the entire SAP user life-cycle
  • Experience using SAP GRC 12.0 Access Control Module: EAM, BRM, ARM, ARA
  • Understanding of key business processes to help build task-based authorization roles which are SOD-free and compliant.
  • Ensures SAP security architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IS standards
  • Identifies SAP security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests procedures to halt future incidents
  • Supports procedures and controls surrounding SAP security risk assessments, annual access recertifications, SOX compliance audits and resolution of security incidents
  • Works with business partner to ensure appropriate access security design meets business requirements as well as all security policies and controls
