      Job Description

      As a Security Officer Access Check Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily site operations through visible, professional presence and strong communication. This is a driving post. As part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, you will help promote a caring culture while handling important security-related responsibilities with integrity.

      What You'll Do:

      • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
      • Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, processing visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries, and documenting entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols.
      • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of communication.
      • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy violations.
      • Complete required reports, logs, and/or pass-down communications regarding incidents, access activity, and noteworthy observations during each shift.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
      • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
      • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
      • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
      • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
      • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
      • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
