  Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

  As a Security Officer Part Time in Kenosha, WI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

  Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

  How This Role Works:

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

  This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

  Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse, shipping, receiving, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify suspicious activity, unsecured access points, and/or operational concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and/or vehicle movement in accordance with site procedures, helping to support authorized access and orderly site operations.
  • Communicate with employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors in a professional manner while following post orders and reporting policy or procedure issues as needed.

  Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
