      The Opportunity

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to support our UK operating company and its smaller US subsidiary. This is a true end-to-end accounting role, ideal for someone who loves being close to the detail while also partnering with leadership to ensure the business is well-controlled, audit-ready, and set up to scale.

Reporting to the Global Corporate Controller based in the US, you’ll be responsible for the integrity of our financial reporting, the smooth running of our month-end close, and the accuracy of revenue and expenses in a fast-growing SaaS environment. You’ll work closely with teams across Finance, RevOps, Sales, and Operations, playing a key role in supporting Kami’s continued global growth. One of your main stakeholders is our UK Finance Controller, working together to own end-to-end accounting and finance responsibilities.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, owning processes end-to-end, and building strong foundations in a high-growth, mission-driven company.

      What You’ll Do

      • Heavily support the month-end close for the UK entity and its US subsidiary, including preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, management reporting, and variance analysis.
      • Responsible for bookings/ARR reconciliation and revenue recognition in a SaaS environment, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and ASC 606, with close alignment with Sales and RevOps.
      • Prepare for required statutory reporting, audits, and annual accounts, responding to audit requests as needed
      • Assist with tax and business compliance and filings across both entities, including corporation tax, VAT/sales tax, and coordination of US and UK tax returns.
      • Prepare bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis, along with supporting other miscellaneous treasury tasks
      • Own the AP function, entering vendor bills and processing vendor payments.
      • Maintain strong internal controls and balance sheet integrity, ensuring the business remains audit-ready at all times.
      • Partner with the Global Corporate Controller, the UK Financial Controller and the wider international Finance team on process improvements, systems, and scaling initiatives as Kami continues to grow globally.

      What You’ll Bring

      • 5–10 years’ experience in accounting, ideally within SaaS or subscription-based businesses.
      • Strong technical grounding in both UK and US GAAP, with working knowledge of UK accounting and tax requirements.
      • Proven hands-on experience with revenue recognition, commissions, payroll, audits, and statutory reporting.
      • A detail-oriented, ownership mindset — comfortable being both strategic and “in the weeds” when needed.
      • Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report and building efficient, scalable processes.
      • Confidence working cross-functionally with Sales, RevOps, FP&A, and senior leadership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
      • A proactive, calm, and solutions-focused approach, with a genuine interest in building something meaningful in EdTech.
