Leading the development of communications plans and tactics to strategically position and convey FSRA corporate messaging, services and programs.
Establishing and maintaining communications networks with senior management to develop a coordinated approach to positioning individual program initiatives and supporting integrated communications activities.
Promoting research driven analysis and evaluation to understand audiences, create messages and measure success.
Leading project teams, joint initiatives, committees, and working groups.
Degree or Diploma in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or a related field
5-8 Years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism or a related discipline.
Proven knowledge of theories, principles and practices of contemporary communications and large- scale communications planning to provide leadership and expertise in the development and evaluation of corporate communications plans, program frameworks and new approaches.
Demonstrated knowledge of public relations practices, messaging techniques and delivery mechanisms for the preparation of quality communications products.
Prior pension industry knowledge an asset.
Proven project management skills to lead project teams, plan and coordinate action plans, activities, programs and projects from a corporate perspective.
Demonstrated oral communications, consultation and advisory skills to provide advice on corporate communications strategies.
Proven writing and editing skills to lead the preparation of papers, presentations, submissions and other communications products.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and identify emerging issues, trends and shifts in public/stakeholder opinion and to assess and understand target audiences.

Job Description:
*This is up to a 14-Month Contract Position*
PURPOSE OF POSITIONAs a member of the Public Affairs Team, you will work closely with FSRA’s Pension policy and regulatory teams (and Market Conduct) in the development, implementation and delivery of a strategic communication plan framework to promote and communicate FSRA’s direction, objectives, policies and program initiatives
