- Define and interpret key trends shaping higher education technology
- Advise institutional leaders and edtech executives on critical decisions
- Produce original research that influences both buying and building decisions
- Develop a visible voice in the higher education technology space
- Design and evolve a research agenda aligned to higher education priorities, market shifts, and Tambellini's strategic direction
- Identify emerging trends across administrative systems, teaching and learning technologies, data ecosystems, and institutional strategy
- Create original, data-informed content including trend reports, market analyses, product profiles, functional comparisons, and executive briefings
- Translate complex developments into clear, actionable insights for institutional and industry audiences
- Lead research through direct engagement: institutional interviews, vendor briefings, surveys, and market analysis
- Develop a deep, first-hand understanding of how decisions are made-and why
- Provide tailored guidance to Tambellini members based on research, data, and expertise
- Lead advisory engagements including assessments, workshops, and strategic analyses
- Interpret institutional needs in ways that inform product strategy
- Help vendors better understand market expectations-and help institutions make better technology decisions
- Engage in vendor briefings and analyst sessions as a recognized expert
- Partner with sales and leadership to support membership growth and retention
- Participate in conversations with prospective members and articulate Tambellini's value
- Establish a visible voice through speaking, writing, and social engagement
- Represent Tambellini at conferences, executive forums, and private briefings
- Work closely with research, data, advisory, and marketing teams
- Contribute to evolving Tambellini methodologies and offerings
- Mentor emerging analysts and support a strong culture of peer review

- Experience working in higher education (institution, system, or consortium)
- Experience working in an edtech or service provider organization serving higher education
- Deep familiarity with one or more domains such as:
- ERP / Finance / HR systems
- Student systems (SIS)
- CRM / enrollment management
- Data, analytics, and interoperability
- Teaching and learning platforms
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills-you connect signals across a complex ecosystem
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across executive and practitioner audiences
- Ability to manage multiple research, writing, and advisory workflows simultaneously
- Skilled in interviewing, listening, and building trust with senior stakeholders
- Credibility and confidence to engage as a peer with institutional and industry leaders
- Interest in building a public-facing voice and contributing to industry dialogue

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Tambellini Group is the leading independent research and advisory firm dedicated exclusively to education. We sit at the center of the higher education technology ecosystem, working closely with colleges and universities and the vendors that serve them. Tambellini analysts engage in primary research, deep institutional engagement, and direct interaction with the market.
We are seeking a Senior Analyst focused on Higher Education who brings a distinctive perspective shaped by experience inside institutions and within the edtech industry. If you've worked in higher ed, moved into an edtech company, and now want to influence the direction of the market-not just operate within this role is designed for you.
