      Position Summary

      We are currently seeking an energetic self-starter with a curious mind and a collaborative spirit to join the Integrated Initiatives team as our full-time Senior Consultant, Integrated Initiatives.

      The Integrated Initiatives Team at TCC Group tackles complex social problems through integrated action, informed by deep listening, intentional engagement, critical analysis, and bold approaches. The team helps nonprofits, companies, and foundations achieve their goals through the careful choreography of multiple program components, well-integrated and implemented for lasting impact.

      The Senior Consultant, Integrated Initiatives leads, manages, and advises projects in strategic planning and design, grant-making, program management, stakeholder and community engagement, and amplification – leveraging a strategic communication approach and lens to the work. Beyond direct client work, partnering with the team directors and other firm members the Senior Consultant, Integrated Initiatives contributes to TCC Group’s thought leadership by identifying new client prospects; and cultivating, supporting, and sustaining client relationships; and facilitating and presenting at conferences and webinars.

      TCC Group has offices in New York and Philadelphia and will primarily be seeking candidates in our New York office; however, qualified candidates in other US locations may be considered.

      Duties and Responsibilities

      Lead 1-2 projects within a large client portfolio (50%)

      • Provide day-to-day and year-long project leadership and oversight, including building work plans and timelines and ensuring efficient and timely completion of tasks by coordinating project teams across multiple internal and external teams, delegating tasks and monitoring workflow.

      • Continually monitor and update budgets, work plans and revenue projections for projects and project staff and regularly communicate progress on project work plans.


        • Lead and participate in internal and external face-to-face and online meetings by setting agendas and facilitation.

        • Manage relationships with grant partners, community leaders, and other stakeholders.

        • Oversee and direct activities carried out by a team of affiliate community liaisons.

        • General client relations, including telephone and email communication, and in-person meetings

        Design and Implement Programs (30%)

        Strategic Design

        • Assess organizational and/or portfolio strengths and challenges

        • Conduct landscape analyses across current or future areas of interest, to identify strategic opportunities, challenges, and prospects for building partnerships and funder alignment

        • Develop effective service delivery, advocacy, or grantmaking approaches and complementary resource investments and programming

        Grantee Engagement and Management

        • Supervise grantmaking and management process, ensuring timely implementation

        • In partnership with the Grants Admin team, coordinate and align grantmaking practices – including tools and processes – across project teams

        • Review grants to make recommendations

        • Identify and build relationships with stakeholders that complement grantee shared learning and collaboration

        • Prepare and manage strategic communications associated with grantee cohorts (e.g., emails, bulletins, program announcements, web content, social media promotions, and day-to-day communications via phone and email)

        Facilitation and Presentation

        • Plan and facilitate meetings and retreats with clients, leadership staff, and other key stakeholders.

        • Foster learning, shared consensus, and collective decision-making on strategic and operational issues.

        • Oversee and/or prepare written materials and dynamic, visually appealing client-ready presentations (e.g., PowerPoint reports, narrative documents, tables, and graphs).

        Business Development and Team Leadership (20%)

        Thought Leadership

        • Individually and in teams, author articles, blogs, e-letters, and other written materials reflecting practical wisdom gleaned from philanthropic, corporate, and nonprofit sector engagements – specifically in the field of strategic communication and narrative change.

        • Present at social sector conferences, webinars, and other peer forums

        Business Development

        • Collaborate with senior leaders to build and grow strategic communication and narrative change work

        • Identify prospective social sector clients and network with funders and nonprofits in various sector settings

        • Oversee and/or prepare approach and materials for meetings with prospective clients

        • Draft proposals, including proposed budgets and workplans

        • Build and sustain productive client relations, including email and telephone communication, and in-person meetings

        Team Leadership

        • Oversee the project work of Consultants, Associate Consultants, Analysts, and Affiliates.

        • Supervise, train, and mentor one or more Consultants, Associate Consultants, Analysts, and/or Administrative Assistants.

        Qualifications

        Required

        • Bachelor’s degree in public health, strategic communication, social work, health management, health administration, public health, or a related field

        • 7-10 years relevant professional experience in program development, program officer, grantmaking, and management experience in consulting, nonprofits, philanthropy, or corporate giving or equivalent combination of education and experience

        • Project manager superpowers – in depth experience efficiently managing projects from start to finish with deadline sensitivity and the use of required tools and resources

        • Proven track record of moving and driving complex projects to completion

        • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills – cultural sensitivity, and ability to adjust as needed

        • Exceptional writing skills—ability to summarize large amounts of complex information into engaging, consumer-friendly content

        • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

        Preferred

        • Master’s/Advanced degree in public health, communication, social work, health management, health administration, public health, or a related field

        • Prior experience working in an agency or consulting firm

        • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

        • Knowledge or experience in health, HIV/AIDS, reproductive justice and women’s rights, racial justice, mental health, or substance use disorders demonstrated through prior work experience and/or volunteer work.

        TCC Group offers a competitive and equitable total compensation package. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, 401k retirement plan with employer match, disability, life insurance, a generous paid time off, and more. The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 commensurate with experience.
