What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair personal computers and network equipment
- Provide hardware and software support for personal computers
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems
- Maintain network diagrams, circuit records, and trouble logs
- Instruct users on the effective use of personal computers and networks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma plus specialized training and 5-6 years of experience
- Extensive knowledge of technical support and hardware/software systems
- Ability to work on moderately difficult assignments requiring sound judgment
- Capability to plan and execute own work independently
- Must possess an active Secret clearance and be a U.S. citizen
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with PC, PBX, and network software programming
- Strong problem-solving skills in a technical environment
- Ability to coordinate day-to-day work of others
- Familiarity with government contracting requirements
